Mental Health Care Plans and evidence-based psychological strategies. Accessible & compassionate.

Explored in a safe space.

A Mental Health Care Plan (formally known as a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan) is a structured plan developed together with your GP to support your mental health and access subsidised psychological care.

During a longer consultation, your GP will discuss what you've been experiencing, assess your mental health, and work with you to identify goals and the best type of support, whether that's counselling, psychology, or a combination of strategies.

Once your plan is in place, it entitles you to a number of Medicare-rebated sessions with a psychologist or other allied mental health professional each calendar year.

Your GP remains involved throughout, reviewing your progress at regular intervals and adjusting your plan as needed.

It's a practical, accessible first step for anyone experiencing stress, anxiety, low mood, or other mental health concerns and a normal, judgement-free part of everyday general practice.
